The Chief Executive Officer will provide enterprise leadership,
strategic direction and executive accountability for Busamed as a
South African private hospital group. The role will lead the
organisation in achieving sustainable growth, financial resilience,
clinical quality, patient experience, operational performance,
governance, stakeholder trust and long-term shareholder value. The CEO
will direct the Executive Committee in translating Board-approved
strategy into integrated business plans and disciplined execution
across the hospital network.
The Mechanical Artisan is responsible for all civil, electrical, or
mechanical related systems of the facility,
including but not limited to maintenance, repair and installation of
equipment, devices and appliances
The Unit Manager will be responsible for coordinating Quality Nursing
Care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. The
incumbent will be accountable for coordinating training, development
and mentoring of staff in the Unit. The incumbent will be expected to
apply and manage the best and most effective operational practice by
focusing on the integration of people, technology and financial
drivers in ensuring that Unit costs are maintained within budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Manage Acuities and Skill Mix in such a way as to ensure cost
effective Quality Care.
* Monitor and Control Staff Attendance and/or Absenteeism and ensure
action istaken accordingly.
* Manage, advise and influence the delivery of cost-effective
quality nursing care whilst enhancing the Patient Journey through
monitoring and intervention.
* Ensure correct Billing, Stock Management and
Ordering/replenishment.
* Facilitate timeous and accurate compilation of files
* Adherence to Clinical Governance and other Busamed audits and
quality initiatives and any other duties assigned by Management
* Conduct active patient surveillance for Infection Prevention &
Control (IPC) liaising with nursing staff and doctors
* Ensure the principles of Infection Prevention and Control and
standard precautions are adhered to.
* Implement an IPC programme tailored to the needs of the Unit and
in alignment with hospital IPC strategy.
* Monitor IPC compliance and identify areas of non-compliance
through clinical audits, remedial action to be implemented and
assessed for effectiveness.
* Investigate all negative Infection Prevention & Control incidents
/ Adverse events and ensure appropriate recording and intervention.
* Maintain and update hospital’s Incident Management System
(Barnowl): incident reporting, initiation and closure of Action Plans
and regular review of department’s Risk Register and mitigation of
risk.
* Ensure compliance with Protocols, Policies and Acts.
* Evaluate Nursing Quality Indicators and Clinical Outcomes.
* Identify Quality Improvement opportunities and ensure appropriate
strategy and Quality Improvement initiatives are developed and
measured.
* Ensure a safe working environment is maintained in accordance with
the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act.
* Maintenance of Asset Register and contents (including all
equipment and ward environment), ensuring service schedule is met,
repairs signed off and maintenance schedule facilitated.
* Ensure adherence to requirements of POPI Act and Patient
Confidentiality
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and parents
regarding the patient’s care.
* Participate in hospital-cover (weekend call etc); rotational cover
of Night Manager absence and scheduled time to work with and meet
staff on Night Duty
* Facilitate a culture that is supportive of talent management and
the initiation of required implementations to hone nursing talent
* Facilitate personal and professional staff development through an
active coaching and mentoring programme aligned to the yearly
Performance Development Programme (PDP)
The Registered Nurse willrender and promote cost effective, safe
quality patient care in accordance with hospitalstandards and
policies. As a Professional Practitioner, the incumbent also is
responsible for and is held accountable for his/her own acts and
omissions.
The incumbent will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect
nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing,
planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet
patient needs.
Is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care and will
actively participate in clinical governance, auditing of health
records to ensure compliance, ensure allstock is well controlled and
managed, charged and credited appropriately, effective risk prevention
and management,manage acuity and skill mix to ensure appropriate level
of care.
Assuming the role of the head of the Hospital MANCO Team, the Hospital
Manager will be responsible and accountable for the effective delivery
of comprehensive quality healthcare service at the hospital.
The incumbent will be charged with leading a multidisciplinary team of
clinical specialists and operational leaders, ensuring alignment with
the Busamed Group’s strategic objectives and values to ensure
sustainable performance and growth of the hospital.
The incumbent will be responsible for the management of Risk related
functions within the Hospital. The incumbent will act as a resource
and ensure the implementation of best practice, legislative
requirements and an environment that is safe from infection for all
hospital staff and facilitate an environment supporting the health and
welfare of all persons working within the institution.
Responsibilities and Duties:

* Advise the Health & Safety committee on Risk management matters in
the hospital.
The incumbent will be responsible for the clinical facilitation of
optimal learning opportunities, the facilitation of clinical knowledge
and skill development of our nursing staff in the clinical areas. The
incumbent will enhance patient outcome through the assessment of
nursing care standards, through the planning and implementation of
appropriate education and professional competency development and with
ongoing audit and evaluation of
standards of care and quality indicators. The incumbent is also
responsible for establishing partnerships between the hospital
clinical teams, and collaboration with all other Busamed hospitals to
ensure continuous development and improvement of theoretical and
clinical nursing skills, nursing standards and general nursing care
within Busamed.
The Night Manager will be responsible for coordinating Improved
Quality Nursing Care by ensuring compliance to professional and
ethical practice. The incumbent will be accountable for coordinating
Training, Development and Mentoring of staff in the Hospital. The
incumbent will also be expected to apply and manage the best and most
effective operational practice by focusing on the integration of
people, technology and finance drivers in ensuring that costs are
maintained within budget.
* Administer and supervise thus ensuring standards for quality
nursing care are met in the hospital, evaluate on an on-going basis
and take appropriate action.
* Monitor and enforce standards, procedures and staff performance.
Manage hospital activities including irregularities and policy
violations and take corrective and follow up action. Perform clinical
instruction as necessary.
* Control drugs as per regulations of the Pharmacy Act (Act 53 of
1974), perform checks on drug totals and drug register, ensure that
procedures and recording are adhered to. Rationalise and control
emergency stock.
* Monitor and manage staff attendance and ensuring coverage of
hospital at all times. Allocate staff, based on workload and level of
competence ensuring optimal staff usage and maintaining the stability
of nurse/patient ratio.
* Promote and maintain good working and inter-personnel
relationships with management, patients, staff, doctors and
colleagues. Co-ordinate the activities of all hospital departments to
provide uniformity of direction.
* Demonstrate professional ethics and leadership qualities. Maintain
standards and conduct to the South African Nursing Act and SANC
Regulations
* Conduct frequent hospital rounds and provide top quality,
customer-centric service
* Ensure processes are in line with the working procedures and
policies of Busamed Private Hospital.
The Deputy Nursing Manager oversees and coordinates all operations
related to the delivery, promotion, and assurance of high-quality
patient care. Key responsibilities include nursing staff recruitment
and professional development, client relations management,
implementation of quality improvement and risk management strategies,
and financial oversight of nursing costs, operational budgets, and
capital expenditures.
