General Operations Management

The Hospital Manager will be responsible and accountable for the effective delivery of comprehensive
healthcare services at the hospital. The incumbent will also be responsible for the sustainable performance and
growth of the hospital, ensuring alignment to the company's values and fostering a culture of inclusivity and
empowerment. These include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring quality and efficiency in the delivery of patient care by performing ongoing oversight to ensure that patient care is both high quality and efficiently rendered.
  • Managing hospital finances through extensive financial and operational management which includes budget setting & tracking, monitoring patient fees & billing etc.
  • Driving the employee engagement touch points to enhance how the employees experience the workplace
    and strive to be the employer of choice.
  • Recruiting Clinical Specialists aligned to business sustainability & growth.
  • Ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation.

The Hospital Manager will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

A relevant NQF Level 8 Qualification is essential, additional relevant qualifications will be advantageous.

  • A minimum of 7 years extensive senior management experience in a private hospital, healthcare or hospitality environment is essential.
  • Previous Hospital Management experience will be advantageous.
  • Proven track record in strategy formulation and execution.
  • Good working experience of all relevant legislation and processes.
  • Understanding of financial principles and ability to interpret key financial information and trends.
  • Proven track record in Diversity and Relationship Management.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential, working experience on SAP will be advantageous.

We are looking for a Visionary with the ability to think strategically and establish direction, coupled with the ability to Energize and role model expected conduct. The incumbent needs to display exceptional Designing & Aligning skills, with the ability to build performance milestones and monitor organizational culture.

It is critical that the incumbent displays Outside Orientation skills, with the ability to handle stakeholder sensitivities coupled with the Global Mindset that ensures awareness of the social-economic and political scene
and a sense of cultural relativity.

Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Tenacity are also key to this role.
