The incumbent will be responsible for handling, collecting, washing and distribution of linen across the hospital.

• Collection of linen from the wards/ departments and taken to laundry at intervals throughout the day to ensure the wad have sufficient linen
• Sorting of linen per ward must be executed timeously and recorded
• Washing and drying of linen
• Clean linen is to be made available for/delivered to the wards at regular intervals.
• Laundry assistants are to perform all tasks assigned to them by the supervisor.

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification 

• At least 3 years of experience in Housekeeping/Laundry
• Experience in a hospital environment will be an advantage
• Proactive, organised, and able to multitask and work well under pressure
• Participate and able to work as part of the team
• Professional appearance
• Accuracy with regards to stock counts
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner in all interactions
• Ensure effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders
