CSSD Technician

Theatre

The CSSD Technician is responsible for the execution of procedures and tasks to clean, prepare, pack and sterilize unsterile instruments, linen and consumables and to supply sterile requirements to the Theatre and other departments in the hospital.

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification

• 1-2 years working experience in CSSD
• Relevant CSSD qualification

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) essential
• Good conflict management skills
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Loan set process
• Knowledge of mechanic operations of various types of sterilising equipment
• Must be able to function effectively and independently
