The incumbent will be responsible for the provision of Semi-Skilled support to Busamed Maintenance department in order to ensure quality patient care is accordance with hospital standards / policies
Responsibilities and Duties
Effective management of internal and external service providers
General maintenance of the building and plumbing system
General electrical maintenance and fault finding
Assistance with installations of electricity and air conditioning
Assistance with related ad-hoc functions
Ensuring job cards are issued as per procedure for all work done
Ensuring job cards are obtained for emergency call-outs, logged and issues as per procedure
Occupational Health & Safety requirements are adhered to
Incidents and potential risks are reported, and corrective action taken where necessary
Specifications on work to be carried out are established and communicated to contractors when needed
Client expectations are determined and met
Grade 12 or qualification equivalent to NQF level 4
A completed technical related qualification
Basic computer literacy advantageous
Relevant hospital experience will be an advantage
Experience in air conditioning and refrigeration advantageous
Ability to function independently with minimum supervision
Customer service orientated with high working standards
Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in building maintenance, plumbing, and carpentry
Ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding
