The General manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a coffee shop, including managing staff, finances, and customer service.

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
  • Relevant Qualification in Hospital will be advantageous



  • +- 3years working in the hospitality environment
  • Working experience in private healthcare will be advantageous
  • Proven experience as a cafe supervisor or similar role 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of financial management and reporting
  • Managing day-to-day operations of the cafe
  • Hiring and onboarding new wait staff and baristas
  • Training employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed
  • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
  • Monitor budgets to ensure that the café remains profitable. Actively find ways to lower operational costs while expanding the cafés customer base
  • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
  • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
