The Registered Nurse will provide and promote cost-effective, safe, and high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. As a Professional Practitioner, the incumbent is also responsible for and is held accountable for his/her acts and omissions.

The incumbent will also be responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients or groups of patients, as well as assessing, planning, executing, and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.

Is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care and will actively participate in clinical governance, auditing of health records to ensure compliance, ensuring all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately, effective risk prevention and management, managing acuity and skill mix to ensure an appropriate level of care.

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife.
• Relevant qualifications within a specialist area will be advantageous
• + 1 - 5 Years of working experience in the same position
• Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable healthcare legislation

• Working experience in private healthcare or the healthcare funding industry will be advantageous.
• Relevant experience in the nursing discipline
• Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

• Computer Literacy essential.
• Fluent communication in English is essential.
