The Healthcare Concierge (HCC) serves as a facilitator and patient advocate, ensuring that every individual’s hospital journey is smooth, stress-free, and enriched with value-added support. This role aligns with Busamed’s Purpose which states that ‘we are here to empower you and our communities to lead a healthier and more fulfilling lives’, by bridging the gap between clinical care and non-clinical needs. The HCC is dedicated to reducing stress, improving recovery, and enhancing the overall patient and family experience—before, during, and after hospitalisation.

  • Matric (Grade 12) with a tertiary qualification in communication, marketing or business administration
  • Additional training or certification in customer service, hospitality, healthcare administration, or patient liaison services will be advantageous 

  • Working experience in private healthcare, healthcare funding or customer service industry will be advantageous
  • Working experience on SAP will be advantageous

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with hospital systems and medical aid authorisation processes is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
