Patient Services

The receptionist will be responsible for answering telephones, scheduling and registering patients, entering charges, managing work queues, posting payments, batch balancing, reconciling and balancing cash, obtaining patient authorisation numbers, confirming co-payment with medical aids, and liaising with the relevant parties when admitting private patients.

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
  • Tertiary Qualification advantageous

  • Previous reception experience essential
  • Working experience in private healthcare or the healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
  • Working experience on SAP will be advantageous

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) is essential
  • Capacity to work a 12-hour shift for both Day and Night
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to function effectively independently
  • Fluent communication in English is essential
  • Knowledge of medical aid admitting protocol would be advantageous
