The General Artisan will be responsible for ensuring daily line inspections and give feedback.to the Technical Team. The Artisan also act on timeously to breakdowns as well as do maintenance on systems.
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
NQF 4 or 5 Qualified with Trade Test
National Trade Certification at N3 level
Three years post qualification experience in a mechanical environment, including but not limited to airconditioning, welding, fitting and turning and boilers/geysers
Computer literacy
Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Working Standby/ Shift working
Responsibility for mechanical related systems of the hospital
Carry out repairs
Monitoring and carrying out quality control Monitoring and quality control of all contractor work carried out on hospital equipment for refrigeration, air-conditioning, vacuum, medical gas, autoclave, boiler, hot and cold water systems
Ensure that spares used are recorded to ensure there is an effective accountability for goods used
Comply with industry standards and safety regulations of working
Perform fault finding and ensure that all equipment is operational
