The File Assessor will be responsible for assessing patient files for accurate accounting with Scale of Benefits and ARS Contracts as well as assisting the Quality Review Department. 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
  • Nursing qualification advantageous

  • 1-2 years working experience in the same position Essential
  • Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
  • Working experience on SAP will be advantageous
  • Previous billings and stock control experience in a Hospital environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience using Scale of Benefits and ARS contracts

  • Assessment of patient files to ensure that all surgical, ethical, gases and equipment are recorded on account as per actual use
  • Assessing of accommodation
  • Final authorisation of accounts
  • Application of ARS contracts
  • Effective ICD and CPT Coding of patient accounts
  • Application of ARS contracts
  • Cope well under Pressure
  • Work late when it is month end and or as requested by Admin Manager
