The File Assessor will be responsible for assessing patient files for accurate accounting with Scale of Benefits and ARS Contracts as well as assisting the Quality Review Department.
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
Nursing qualification advantageous
1-2 years working experience in the same position Essential
Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
Working experience on SAP will be advantageous
Previous billings and stock control experience in a Hospital environment
Minimum of 3 years’ experience using Scale of Benefits and ARS contracts
Assessment of patient files to ensure that all surgical, ethical, gases and equipment are recorded on account as per actual use
Assessing of accommodation
Final authorisation of accounts
Application of ARS contracts
Effective ICD and CPT Coding of patient accounts
Application of ARS contracts
Cope well under Pressure
Work late when it is month end and or as requested by Admin Manager
